  • Have a distinctive element which would make it different from other names of companies in the same line of business
    such as Black in the company name Black Hair Care Inc.

  • It is also recommended that the company name has a descriptive element, which describes the type of business being operated, such as Hair Care in the company name Black Hair Care Inc.

  • Be sufficiently distinct from other company names, business names and trademarks so as to not cause confusion.

  • Not be misleading or contain any prohibited terms relating to certain high-level organisations such as governments and the United Nations.

  • Not suggest governmental or institutional sponsorship or control.

  • Contain a legal element, which indicates the company is incorporated, chosen from the selection: English: Limited, Incorporated,
    Corporation — abbreviations: Ltd., Inc., & Corp. French: Limitée, Incorporée, Société par actions de régime fédéral  —
    abbreviations: Ltée., Inc., & S.A.R.F.
